Vassar Trash Talk Podcast Series

Join us for five short episodes to learn about the science behind trash: landfills, recycling and composting. We also tackle how to communicate and encourage a community to recycle and compost their trash, using the Vassar College campus as our petri dish.

Episode 3: Anusha Subedi on a walkabout on the Vassar campus on a typical, busy day in the life of a student. Anusha talks with us about some of the challenges to recycling and composting from the student perspective and tells us about the results of a student survey she conducted.

Episode 4 with Alexis Earp and Greenway Environmental Services: Join Alexis as she interviews two pioneer composters in the Hudson Valley, Shabazz Jackson and Josephine Papagni. Be inspired by their journey of science and steady activism as they developed a composting process that cleans water and gives back to the soil.
